Well it's been awhile since I've posted so I'll see if I can remember everything that's happened since the last post. Where to start? Well Fletcher, a fellow I work with, and I went fishing on the Susquehanna a couple weeks ago. I had a great time. There's nothing like flying up the Dauphin narrows in a Snyder jet boat at 30 miles per hour then catching 30 smallies, 10 of them being keepers, in a matter of four hours. It's a shame I didn't have the camera with that day because we had a few pigs in the boat.
Let's see what else? Oh, I went wade fishing after work on the Susky near Marysville and while changing out of my work clothes locked my keys in the truck. So 3 hours of fishing and 65 dollars to pay Pop-A-Lock later I got into my truck. Then me and the guys went to the Marysville Tavern and ate a ton of wings and drank quite a few beers. That I must say was the best Sunday night I've had in a long time. Talk about total relaxation.
Hrmm let's see. Megan went to the beach for a few days this past week with Amanda. I guess she had a good time except for the part where her cell phone and PDA were ruined by a random large wave. I stayed home as I absolutely hate the beach and went fishing and just hung out at home. Went fishing with Keith from work near New Cumberland. It seemed like perfect fishing weather and perfect water conditions but apparently the bass didn't think so. Keith caught 3 and I had 1 and there was 1 keeper between us both. I still had a good time as any time spent on the river is a good time.
And finally the only news not related to fishing so far. On Monday I start my training to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer at ComputerTraining.com's Lancaster facility. So once I'm done there in 6 months I'll be an MCSE and hopefully making way more money than I am at Bass Pro Shops. I'm sure Megan's ecstatic because I'll then finally be able to afford a nice engagement ring for her.
Well that's about all for now I believe. I'll try to post later in the week once I start classes to let you folks know how it goes. Oh yeah that's a picture of my old man up there. We were doing a little fishing on the Juniata and he caught that nice smallie on a Stonecat/Madtom. One day before I die I'll get him to convert to using artificial lures, nah probably not. Until then may your lines be tight and the fish always bite!
