Two Good Weekends

Let's see where to start? It's been a while since the last post so I'll try to recall everything that happened in the last two weeks or so. Not this weekend but the weekend before Megan's dad, Jake and I went up to the family cabin in Potter county for the weekend. I had a great time. I fly fished Kettle Creek Saturday and Sunday. I only caught three trout but the scenery up there more than makes up for the lack of fish catching. I had the digital camera with but was too busy trying to fish to snap any good photos. Here's a couple of the better ones from up there. The first one is my favorite. I'll post links to the rest of them at the end of the post.

Hrmmm, what else? Well this week is going well so far. Mokey, our baby, just got her back claws taken out so she's back home now recovering. Poor thing really missed us. Karma must have been working it's magic because just as I walked out of the donor office in Lebanon after giving blood I got a call on my cell phone. It was the HR department from Bass Pro Shops, so now I have an interview next Wednesday for a position in the fishing or gun department. It's nothing glamorous but it'll pay the bills until I'm done with school.

Yesterday, Megan and I also went mountain biking. Even though it rained pretty well Thursday night the trails were still pretty firm. That is, until it started to pour buckets while we were halfway into the longest trail on RCST land. By the end of the ride we were both soaked and had water squishing from our shoes with every step. All in all, it was still a good ride though. It's a tough call between the trail we rode, Rattling Creek Trail, and Rocks Ridge as to which is my favorite. I can't wait until I have enough money for a full suspension bike though. My backside can't take much more of this hardtail funny business.

Today all that's in store, that I know of, is a wedding for a co-worker of Megan and that's it. That's good though as it will probably take up the majority of the day anyway. Tomorrow, weather permitting, I'm probably strapping the bike to the back of the Bug and heading back up to Lykens for some more single track action so if anyone would like to go don't hesitate to let me know. That's all of now I believe. Y Ddraig Goch ddyry gychwyn!
